Las Vegas is the casino gambling capital of the world. Best known as Sin City, the streets are lined with casino-gambling resorts, nightlife, shopping, and world-class tourism. Las Vegas has the most glamorous image of any city.

Las Vegas started off as a small railroad town back in 1905. Then in 1931, casino gambling was legalized, followed by the completion of the Hoover Dam five years later.

Since then, there has been some really interesting news including the fires that destroyed several casinos such the ‘El Rancho’ in 1960 and the MGM Grand in 1980. The opening of the Mirage back in 1989 started the era of the ‘mega-resort’, inspiring other major casinos such as the Bellagio in 1993.

Each of them has a unique motif and features a large casino containing thousands of slot machines and hundreds of gaming tables. Even the smaller ones have over 2,000 hotel rooms. Each of these casinos contains large swimming pools, multiple restaurants and a variety of entertainment venues. Some of them offer health spas, wedding chapels or golf packages.

Every one of these hotels offers high-class luxury accommodations. If you want to pamper yourself with a fantasy vacation in Las Vegas, stay at one of these palaces of luxury. The prices vary from very expensive to moderately priced, and some real bargains are available if you search for them.
