In New York, the State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services Commissioner Karen M. Carpenter-Palumbo warned of the dangers that are associated with gambling. Karen M. Carpenter-Palumbo focused on the point of how gambling problems can be hidden.

Karen M. Carpenter-Palumbo said: “Nearly one million New Yorkers as young as age 12 are dealing with problem gambling,”.

To stop this this agency wnat to make  several seminars being put on that will feature guest speakers. The speakers will focus on the different areas of gambling addiction.

National Problem Gambling Awareness Week runs from Sunday all the way through Saturday.
